The City of Bedford applied for a $350,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) to administer an Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation (OOR) Program.
This is a highly competitive program, and unfortunately, Bedford was not selected for funding in Cycle 2.
While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we remain committed to pursuing this opportunity. The City intends to apply again during Cycle 3 because we believe this program could provide meaningful assistance to Bedford homeowners who need help making critical repairs to their home.
We appreciate everyone who has supported this effort and understand that programs like this can take time and multiple applications to secure funding. We will continue working toward this opportunity and will share new information as it becomes available. Thank you for your continued support of the City of Bedford!

This program is made possible through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The Owner Occupied Rehabilitation Grant empowers Indiana communities to establish local home repair programs. Awarded communities create programs that directly fund repairs on owner occupied residential properties, including roof replacement, heating, cooling, and water heater replacement, lighting and electrical upgrades and ADA accessibility modifications up to the threshold of the home.
