As someone who was born and raised in Lawrence County, with roots that go back to my grandfather’s feed store and childhood days at St. Vincent de Paul School, I can tell you firsthand, Bedford is a special place. It’s a city built on tradition, strengthened by community, and full of opportunity. Bedford is a wonderful place to put down roots and raise a family.
Known as the “Limestone Capital of the World,” Bedford has helped shape the skyline of America. Our limestone quarries have supplied the stone for some of the nation’s most enduring landmarks, from the Empire State Building to the Pentagon. That same spirit of craftsmanship and dedication lives on today, not only in our industry, but in our schools, neighborhoods, and local businesses.
